At VVT Kiinteistösijoitus Oy, we manage real estate capital funds that invest responsibly in business premises located mainly in Finland’s growth centers. In our responsibility work, we focus especially on the energy use of properties, as most of our emissions are caused by the energy consumption of buildings during its use.
Additionally, we enhance the safety, user satisfaction and health circumstances of the properties. Through our responsible practices, investment decisions and ownership practices, we can offer our customers environmentally efficient and functional spaces in prime locations.
Highlights of our sustainability achievements
- We have increased the recycling rate of our properties to over 70 %
- Emissions from the properties’ energy consumption decreased from 2022
- We introduced two beehives on the roof of Ratinankaari in Tampere to enhance local pollination
- We purchased a new office property in Tampere, which has an environmental certification along with our other investment properties
- We transitioned to certified carbon-neutral district heating in our properties in Vaasa.
- We switched the heating system in all of our properties in Vaasa to certified carbon-neutral district heating
