Bees play an important role in maintaining biodiversity and in food production, as up to a third of the world’s food crops depend on pollination. VVT Kiinteistösijoitus wants to be involved in promoting sustainable habitats and natural diversity, so as part of our responsibility work, we signed a two-year cooperation agreement with the HumbleBee Housing Project. In 2023, for the first time, there was a beehive with VVT’s logo on the roof of Tampere’s Ratinankaari, offering pollination to the surrounding environment and honey to customers and partners. The beehive was brought to the roof of the property in June and the honey was collected in August, when the bees were also moved elsewhere to spend the winter. The project will continue in 2024, when the bees will be brought to the roof of Ratinankaari again for the summer.
